HOTELS, RESTAURANTS AND ACCOMMODATION HOW COVID HAS CHANGED THE LAUNDRY SECTOR

Risk Analysys Biocontamination Control certification

In the post-Covid era, the needs of the hospitality industry have changed radically.

It has been realised that cleaning and sanitising play a fundamental role, especially when it comes to working environments.

In order to meet these new needs, the offer has changed, also in technological terms. Euro&Promos Laundry, a well-established company based in Talmassons in the province of Udine, in addition to its investments in terms of latest-generation machinery, has given concrete form to its consolidated production process by obtaining, in the two years just ended certification based on a certified and controlled RABC (Risk Analysys Biocontamination Control) control system, which allows maximum decontamination and minimum recontamination of textiles washed and supplied for hire to healthcare and tourist facilities, offering a level of microbiological quality based on the intended use of the textiles.

The Friuli-based company, which operates in the Triveneto area, has updated its organisational plan in view of a summer that promises to be a big one in terms of arrivals with pre-pandemic numbers.
Every day, Euro&Promos Laundry processes an average of around 12,000 sheets and 15,000 napkins, for a total of more than 5,000,000 kilograms of clean and sanitised textiles every year.

According to Diego Mancardi, head of the Laundry Division, “The company continues to invest in research and development to meet the changing needs of customers who are increasingly attentive and rightly sensitive to issues such as sanitation and hygiene. Our company, with its strongly industrial soul, has as its primary objective a laundry service characterised by the supply of clean and sanitised linen to increase the wellbeing of people in all sectors of the Ho.Re.Ca. sector, in the leisure sector as well as in the social-health sector”.

Companies operating in the sector during the pandemic necessarily updated their protocols for combating and containing the spread of the Covid 19 virus. “With the latest certification,” concludes Mancardi, “we have gone beyond the norms on the prevention front, all to provide extra security for our partners.
